Just a Thought and Nothing More

Alright, since there will be no class until next week, there's nothing academic to share, is there? Well, registration held on the 3rd of September 2014 at Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS) UM went smoothly as their system was quite efficient. Services provided for the candidates were so user friendly that one can't fail to register on that day.

Had a talk with a lecturer and it got me pondered a few issues. Firstly, at this level of studies (postgraduate), one cannot afford to cling on others to get what they want without contributing. If he or she decides to walk the lonely path from the beginning, he or she  has to walk until the end, alone. It will only burden others if help is sought only when problems arise.

Secondly, be responsible for your own decisions. If you can't decide, don't try to force others to decide for you. Others may think you're asking for an opinion as ultimately, you'll be making the decision. However, for some of you, that's not the case for you. You force them to decide for you so that you're able to blame them for the unfortunate turn of events resulted from the decision made. A gentle reminder: stop doing that!

Finally, if you're doing what you're doing because of others and not for yourself, stop at once. This thing that you're doing is not meant for you and you should reevaluate your current standing. Don't be a fool by failing to evaluate your own ability and what is meant for you. Your shortcoming in dealing with yourself will affect others much more than you think it will on you.

These are some points for those who choose to further their studies. Be friendly and useful. Most importantly, don't be a burden to others. Nobody owes anybody anything.
